The latest update to the Time Off module has expanded the configuration options for submitting requests on behalf of employees.
Now, supervisors higher up in the hierarchy have been granted the ability to submit requests for employees who are not directly reporting to them.
Additionally, within specific types of vacations, absences, and remote work, the module administrator can decide which employees will have the ability to submit requests on behalf of another employee with a backdated date.
Permissions can be granted independently for all roles:
- Employee (will be able to submit retroactive requests for their own time off)
- Department Manager (for employees within their department)
- Supervisor (for subordinates)
- Administrator (for any employee)
- Account Owner (for any employee)
From the perspective of current users of the module, the system operates the same as before, meaning:
- If the company has previously used the option to submit retroactive requests for a specific type of time off, the system has automatically enabled permissions for all roles.
- If the company has not used this feature, the system has automatically enabled permissions for all roles except employees.
The module administrator can make changes at any time to the types of requests and add or restrict the ability to submit retroactive requests for various roles within the company.
